Twenty-six years ago, I picked up the guitar, playing the streets of Santo Domingo, singing for friends and strangers.
It was a time before streaming platforms, before algorithms and playlist and music traveled hand-to-hand, voice-to-voice, legend to legend and without knowing it, I was stepping into a lifelong path as a Musician and Artist.

That path continued through the streets of Miami, absorbing the Cuban-American flavor of guaguancó, son montuno, and guajira, through the avenues of New York City picking up jazz the spirit of Dominican Bohemia
arming me back to Santo Domingo, to the roots of Bachata, Merengue, and Afro-Dominican folklore.

As an artist-producer, I’m drawn to music that breathes. I’ve spent years refining a sound that feels intimate, honest, and alive. It’s rooted in Dominican Bachata and Afro-Caribbean rhythm, shaped by the elegance of Jazz and the storytelling power of Blues and Rock.

I live between these worlds—between instinct and study, tradition and reinvention. My approach brings a pragmatic ear for how music should sound, and an emotional lens for what makes music feel real. That’s what I offer: A life story. A point of view. A personal lens I call the magic touch of Enso Taves.

Every so often, I open the doors to my studio—not as a technician for hire, but as a fellow artist, more than a commercial space this is a creative safe port for those seeking depth, soul, and intention in their music.

Formal Training

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Music from Lehman College, with additional training in Harmony, Theory, Music Production, and Music Business from Miami Dade College. I’ve studied General Music at City College of New York, focused on Latin Jazz Piano at Lehman College, and trained in Audio Technology and Music Production at ITLA in the Dominican Republic.

But my real school has been the last two decades—working between New York, Miami, and the Dominican Republic, writing, arranging, and producing nearly 300 original songs, performing in over 300 live shows, and coaching extraordinary artists to find their voice and bring their sound to life.

My approach to mixing and mastering is emotional and intentional, using a hybrid setup that combines analog gear (including SSL summing and custom rack gear) with the clarity and flexibility of digital tools. Every decision is made for the feel—not just the frequency.

Custom Guitar & Bass Tracks

Over 230 guitars have passed through my hands. I’ve studied them, played them, recorded them, and reviewed them—all to master a personal tone and a folkloric technique that doesn’t exist anywhere else.

You can choose from dreadnoughts, OM bodies, parlors, nylon strings, jazz boxes, electrics (Les Pauls, Strats, hybrids), and more. Each track I lay down carries emotion, rhythm, and cultural intention.

Available: Bachata leads, Latin acoustic rhythms, jazzy fills, ambient textures, tasteful licks, folkloric flavor, and bass work tailored to your style.

Piano, Synth & Keyboard Work

My foundation is the piano. Trained in jazz, shaped by Latin traditions, and seasoned by 20+ years of arranging for voice and ensemble, I craft parts that elevate songs—not just decorate them.

From upright piano and electric keys to synth textures and folkloric touches, I can give your track depth, movement, and soul.
